Finally, EA Sports decided to do something most Americans have experienced a lot of lately, ”change”.  A risky move for one of their most prized releases of all time,  John Madden Football, but a step in the right direction for the gamers who just simply couldn’t keep up with the complicated play calling of the more recent editions of the game.

Remember the days of Tecmo Superbowl when you had six plays to choose from and the game’s simplicity provided you with some stress free fun. This game is far from that format, but will be a great fit for the people out there who simply didn’t have the patience to play Madden because of it’s complicated formations and play-calling. You know what they say, “Out with the old”, and in with the fun, or something to that effect.

The one thing I love most about this game is running the football. Automatic turbo for speed bursts and natural cuts make this game a winner. Throw in the ability to play online with up to six friends helps add another unique dimension to the already revamped Madden series. This game’s smooth running and simplicity contribute to an overall great experience for the gamer looking to forget about the condition of the economy and have some simplified stress-free fun.

On the negative side of things, the commentary is still very annoying and repetitive, but overall this is the best Madden game I’ve played in years. We can’t change everything can we? In the world of “change” Madden fits in perfectly, so Hustle out to the stores and help stimulate the economy by purchasing the sports game of year, Madden NFL 11.
