NBA Playoffs: The End Of The Spurs Dynasty

The Spurs came into this years playoffs with hopes of returning to the NBA Finals to compete for yet another NBA Championship. Then out of little known Marion, Indiana, Zach Randolph single-handedly put an end to one of the finest dynasty’s in NBA history.

Randolph took the young Grizzlies and played like a hungry bear chasing the basketball and a dream. Tim Duncan couldn’t stop him and neither could the rest of the aching Spurs. The 6-foot-9 forward who came to the Grizzlies with many doubts from fans and coaches has done nothing but answer critics doubts and scored 17 points in the fourth and finished with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Walking off the court to loud chants of “MVP”, it was an effort that earned praise from every angle and put a big smile on the face of Tom Izzo, Randolph’s coach at Michigan State who flew in for the game to support his former player.

“Zach’s been playing his ass off,” Izzo said before tipoff. Izzo had flown in just to give his former star at Michigan State some support. Randolph delivered after demanding the ball the previous game. He got what he wanted in the fourth and finished off the Spurs for good, putting an end to the Spurs Dynasty.
