MNF – The word is out… The Chicago Bears are winning again and Jay Cutler actually looks like he’s finally utilizing his talent by avoiding costly interceptions. On the other hand Michael Vick and the “Dream Team” are dreaming of making the playoffs in what has been the year of the bust for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The addition of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Nnamdi Asomugha during the off-season put the Eagles into position to own the NFC East, and maybe the entire NFL so to speak. Then reality hit. The Eagles are 3-5 and currently tied for last in their division with the starless Washington Potato Skins. The Eagles need to win at least 10 games this season to even come close to making the playoffs. It’s going to be a challenge given their tough remaining schedule and the in ability to retain 4th quarter leads. Michael Vick needs to step up his game and quit throwing costly red-zone interceptions for the Eagles to have a chance to redeem themselves in the 2011-2012 NFL season.
